Twenty-twenty world cup 2007.


Twenty- twenty cricket is the latest format of cricket. Unlike the test cricket the Twenty- twenty cricket is a limited overs game of only twenty overs. The twenty-twenty cricket match takes very short time to complete. Now-a-days twenty-twenty cricket is the most popular version of the cricket. Among the cricket fans many new rules are introduced in this format which makes it more popular. Now-a-days a number of tournaments are organized around the world. In the year 2007the first twenty-twenty world cup was organized.
In this twenty- twenty world cup 12 countries including India had participated. The two groups were divided of six-six country’s teams. The pattern of the game was same as one day world cup. Nevertheless the key attraction was the format of the game and its new rules like free hit bowl out etc. India played her first match against Holland which resulted in stunning victory. India’s team was now full of zeal and enthusiasm. At the end of group matches India was on the  top in her group. Every one was admiring the successfully captain-ship and effort of the young players. In the quarter final India played matches with England and West indies. In the match against England India put a huge target of 189 with the help of tremendous batting of Yuvraj Singh who hit six sixes in an over against Brad Hogg. By continuous wining performance India successfully entered into final. It was the first world cup and India was playing final. And the most exciting thing was, it was against Pakistan and our captain won the toss and elected to bat first. India again gained a significant score of 167 runs as the opponent started their inning it seemed that the match out of control of India but at the end of twenty over our bowler restricted the opponent at the same 167.
Now the result of match was going to be decided by bowl out rule and the most exciting in the history of cricket that ended in the favor of India and we proudly won the first twenty-twenty world cup.http://www.facebook.com/amankadeep
