Guru Nanak, the Sikh preacher.

In this word many saints took birth and preached about different religions. Amongst them one was Guru Nanak Dev. He was born in 1469 A.D. in Khatri family at Talwandi near Lahore. Now the village is called Nankana Sahib and it is in Pakistan. He was a Sikh preacher. He taught people that there was only one God and wanted to spread unity in the whole world.
At the age of seven he joined the village school. He was very intelligent, and learnt all the alphabets in one day. Once he composed a beautiful hymn which is now in Guru Granth Sahib. He used to think about God for hours together. Once, when his father gave him twenty rupees to do some beneficial business, he spent the money on feeding the hungry men. Nanak was married at the age of fourteen. Nevertheless marriage can’t stop him from thinking about God. His father sent him to Sultanpur and was made a government store-keeper by the governor, Daulat Khan Lodhi. He was quite sincere in his work. One morning after taking the bath in Alibi River, he went into the forest. There he heard the command of God to teach the people to remember about him and know that the heavenly father loved them. It was the day since when Nanak turned into saint.
He preached that the people are not Hindus or Muslims but the children of one God. He believed in one God. To spread his message he visited many places in India and also in Arabia. After his return from there he lined near Tape at Kartarpur until he died.
Like Guru Nanak many other saints also took birth on this Earth. They taught different religions. This could be said as God’s, message of reminding people that there is one God, a God who his looking and caring for his children on Earth.
