My favorite hobby

In our daily life we spent our most of time in our work and studies. It is not possible for us to work continuously without taking any sort of rest or entertainment. Everyone wants leisure in his daily routine. In this time everyone likes to do such things to get again refreshed after his heavy burden work. In the English dictionary these activities are named as ‘Hobby‘. Everyone has different types of hobbies. Hobbies are simply for use of leisure and have the objective to give pleasure.
Despite of my six hours of school and burdens of homework, I always manage to get leisure time for my hobbies. My hobby is playing chess. After completing my home works, in the evening I play chess with my sister and my friends. Sometimes when no one is ready to play then I play chess alone from both the sides. It is always interesting as well as difficult to play against myself. It is really a game that can help in mental exercising. It is an indoor game which I enjoy with tea and snacks cooked by my mother. I also play chess on my computer but most of the times I play it on cardboard. I have chess with magnetic chessmen. On my roof I play on my magnetic chessboard so that chessmen don’t get disturbed by the blow of air in a nice summer evening. I enjoy completely my game in natural ambiance.
Playing chess keeps me mentally fit. It explores my brain and helps me in making quick decisions. I always go to my school on cycle. After riding 2 to 3 km, I don’t need the exhausting outdoor games for physical fitness. I play outdoor games on Sundays.
Thus my hobby helps to maintain the perfect balance of me daily routine. And it becomes the complete package of entertainment when I play it with my sister because I play better than her and at each win she gives me some gift. karan.singh229@gmail.com

WRITE A STORY ABOUT HOW YOU WERE KIDNAPPED AND HOW YOU ESCAPED.

In our lives, sometimes some memorable moments come which always remain in our memories. One such moment once came in my life. It was the most frightening and exciting moment of my life. At that time I was at my uncle’s house at Lucknow.
In Lucknow, one day I was returning to my uncle’s house from the market. It was a lonely place. Suddenly, then I was caught by some men and took me to a van. I could not understand what was happening at that time.
After sometime I came to know that those men were kidnappers. I was extremely frightened at that time. They kept me in a long sack inside the van. I was also made unconscious by them. The kidnappers were on the way to their secret spot. When I came in conscious I found out that the kidnappers had asked my parents a huge amount.
After some time the kidnappers reached their secret place. It was situated in a thick forest like area. It was the place, where there was also a railway line. After one hour all the kidnappers except one left that place. Now there was only one kidnapper along with me.
Just then I saw a slow moving train passing by. I made up my mind. I anyhow managed to come out of the bag. I then ran hastily towards the train. I was lucky. Seeing me some of the people in the train pulled the chain and I entered in one of the compartments of the train and thus escaped.
I then anyhow managed to reach my uncle’s house. I then sighed happily. I told all this to my father. Without wasting any time he informed all this to the police. Due to my cleverness the kidnappers were also caught. I was praised by my father and also by the police. Thus it was the most exciting and frightening moment of my life.karan.singh229@gmail.com

The Joint Family System

“In general a joint family consists of the members of three or four generations, joined together on the basis of common ancestry or property.”
-         M.Thomas
The joint family system is the traditional family system of India. This family system is prevalent in India since the ancient times. This family system is one of the major features of the Hindu society. Under this family system the entire family consisting of two or three generations living under a single roof.
In other words a joint family is a group of people who generally live under one roof, who eat food cooked on one hearth, who hold property in common worship and are related to each other as some particular type of kindred.
The joint family system has merits but also demerits. In this system as all the members live together, thus the work of whole family is divided and the burden of work is reduced. This system not only reduces the burden of work but it also safeguards the family when financial or economic difficulties, accidents, deaths or calamities arise.
Although the joint family system has many merits the modern people do not prefer to live in a joint family. Small families provide the freedom and privacy to all the members which are not easy in the joint family system. Also in a joint family, usually the old people are the head of the family. As old people are the head modern thoughts do not emerge in the family.
The true joint family system without any demerits is one of the most valuable institutions for making a country strong and progressive. If the demerits of the joint family system are removed, it can prove itself as the best family system. Thus we should preserve this family system and not let it vanish totally from our country.karan.singh229@gmail.com

It is far better to be born intelligent than to be born wealthy. Write your views the topic.

In this modern world everyone wants to get educated as it the only right path success. It is far better to be born intelligent than to be born wealthy. It is so because an intelligent man can earn a lot of money. Man who is foolish will keep spending his money and finally he will hammer the last nail to the coffin of his treasure.
An intelligent man his full of many talents through which he could earn and feed himself. It would not be a complicated task for him to get a job. Nevertheless a wealthy man would continuously spend his money and he would find it difficult to earn money when hi treasure was finished. An intelligent man can get job anywhere but a foolish man could not. If a man is born wealthy but foolish he has to face many problems through his life time. Even know one would like him. The intelligent man would always be respected and liked by others. The main thing is that the wealth would not stay for ever, someday it has to finish. Nevertheless the intelligence of an individual would never finish. I also want to say that intelligence can’t be bought by money.
Thus, at last but not the least I conclude that if we will be intelligent we will always be successful. A wealthy man would always be lazy and foolish. Thus, at last I want to say that it is better to be born intelligent than to be born wealthy.

A trip to a hill station.

karan.singh229@gmail.comEvery year we get summer holidays. During these days we go different places. I like to go to hill stations very much. As usual this year also we went to a hill station, Nainital. We chose this place as I have read about it in many books that it is a very beautiful and heart capturing place.
My father booked tickets for us. Before we had to go we had to do many preparations. We packed our clothes and kept all the necessary things that we need for the way. On the day we had to go my mother cooked some food for the way. We went by car till a nearby Railway station, Gonda as there was no station in Utraula (my town). When we went to station we were very excited. We were feeling bored waiting for the train as it was late. So we began to walk on the station here and there. When our train arrived we got into it and settled down. Next morning we reached Kathgodam which was about 50 kilometer from Nainital. We booked a car till Nainital. When we reached Nainital we were very happy. The climate of that place was very calm we went to do boating in it. We found it very interesting doing boating. After that we went to the hotel and ate food, and then we slept. Next day when we woke up we went to zoo and the great Jim Corbett National Park there. It was such a beautiful place that it captured my heart at first sight. Now it was the time for us to return we did not want to come back but what to do, we had to come.
It was such a beautiful place that I wish to go there back again. It’s really a very beautiful place. It is a God gifted beauty to our country. I also like to thank my father for taking me to such a beautiful place. It's true that India is a very beautiful and God blessed our country.
